Dr. Larry Amsterdam

With over 40 years of experience, Dr. Lawrence Amsterdam provides comprehensive dental care for the patients at Caring Dental and seeks to alleviate pain and correct aesthetic problems. Dr. Amsterdam’s favorite part of his job is meeting wonderful people and helping them improve their oral and overall health.

Driven by mutual respect and a desire to care for others, Dr. Amsterdam earned a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and natural sciences from Case Western Reserve University in 1974. He earned his Doctorate of Medical Dentistry from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1978. Dr. Amsterdam also served as Second Lieutenant in the United States Public Health Service.

Dr. Amsterdam is a member of the American Dental Association, the Maryland State Dental Association, and the Jewish National Fund. He also helped establish a dental clinic in Israel at a rehabilitation center for handicapped members of the community.

In his free time, Dr. Amsterdam enjoys spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren; golfing, and singing.
